Dear Canadian Ski Coaches,

We hope this email finds you well and you are ready to kick off the 2026–2027 ski season! Alpine Canada Alpin would like to thank you for being part of the ski racing community — a dynamic group of over 5,500 professional coaches who, through their dedication, inspire greater participation and help athletes reach their full potential, both as individuals and as ski racers.

September marks the beginning of our annual license renewal period. Simply click the red button below and choose the red button COACH on registration page. 

ACA-CSIA dual members* can renew their dual membership through Uplifter (formerly SnowReg)! Simply click the red button below and choose the red button COACH on registration page. 

*renewal is only available for 2025-2026 paid dual members.

Licensing Requirements for Active Coaches
If you are actively coaching in a Canadian ski racing club, you must complete all of the following steps for your license to be in ISSUED status:

1) Pay your annual dues 
2) Complete professional development:   
       4 Annual Professional Development (PD) credits
       1 Annual Risk Management credit

3) Complete the integrated Canadian Criminal Record Check: 
       Must be current and dated on or after September 1, 2025
       CRC is conveniently added to your cart when previous CRC is expired.

*Starting now, only integrated CRC are accepted.

4) Complete NCCP Safe Sport Training: 
       Required every two seasons
       Must be valid from September 1, 2025

Taking a Break from Coaching This Season?

If you're stepping away from coaching this season, you can keep your certification active by selecting the ASSOCIATE membership option above.

This helps you avoid reactivation fees and administrative steps when you're ready to return to coaching.

Important for CSIA Members:

• If you are a CSIA member, you must contact CSIA Membership Services to change your membership status before renewing.
• No refunds are available if you change your membership type after completing your renewal with CSIA.
• If you were registered as an Associate Coach last season and will be actively coaching this year, please contact CSIA before renewing to ensure you have the correct coverage.

What’s the difference between

SAIP and CGL insurance?

When renewing your coach membership, you’ll see the option to purchase SAIP (Sport Accident Insurance Program). This coverage is optional, not mandatory. However, depending on your coaching activities and travel needs, it may offer valuable personal protection.

CGL (Commercial General Liability Insurance)
✅ Included with coach membership
🔒 Provides coverage for third-party bodily injury and property damage that may occur during sanctioned coaching activities.

🛡️ Covers personal accidents, emergency travel medical, mountain rescue, and worldwide emergency assistance—especially useful for coaches who travel or work in remote areas.
